New Dermatologist Course

The aim of this course is to help steer new dermatologists in the current landscape of the NHS and protect dermatology as a specialty. 

Our faculty is composed of 13 established consultant dermatologists and external speakers who covered key specialist areas in dermatology, well-being, management and innovation in dermatology. Careful selection of lecture titles were chosen to encompass the requirements for the new consultant in dermatology including:

- My experience as a new consultant
- Financial health of your department
- Insider’s guide to paediatric dermatology

Feedback from delegates from our first year has been amazing and has sparked research and innovation in dermatology and empowered new consultants to do it their way. We hope this course inspires the future generation of dermatologists and protects our specialty.

We had a successful second year at the Royal College of Physicians in November 2021 and the next event is planned in November 2022.
